Holy Cross offers Sunday School for ages 3-103! Preschool through High School ages meet in our HCCC building from 9:30 until 10:30 during the school year. Our Adult Bible Study (conducted in the church hall) as well as our Pastor-led Confirmation class, are both held during the same hour, so parents can study God’s Word at the same time as their children.
Our theme for the 2017-2018 Sunday School year is:
“God’s ways are bigger than our ways.” His purpose is BIGGER!…. bigger than us personally, bigger than our family, bigger even than our church but we get to be part of it! We have a purpose, and our purpose is bigger when we participate in God’s plan!
Theme verse: “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9
Our Sunday School students will be learning all about our Savior, Jesus Christ and growing in their faith as they learn to apply God’s Truth to their daily lives. We will delve into the heart of God’s Word each week through age appropriate discussions, crafts, games, music and small group worship time!
Special events to look forward to during the coming year:
VBS • Rally Day • Pumpkin Carving/Fall Fun Fellowship • Christmas Caroling • Children’s Christmas Program • Easter Egg Hunt. * more information to come!
Save the Date…
Rally Day: Sunday, September 10th

Luther’s Morning Prayer
I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger. Keep me this day also from sin and every evil, that all my doings and life may please you. Into your hands I commend my body and soul and all things. Let your holy angel be with me, that the wicked foe may have no power over me. Amen.
Luther’s Evening Prayer
I thank You, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, Your dear Son, that You have graciously kept me this day; and I pray that You would forgive me all my sins where I have done wrong, and graciously keep me this night. For into Your hands I commend myself, my body and soul, and all things. Let Your holy angel be with me, that the evil foe may have no power over me. Amen
Lord God, heavenly Father, bless us and these Your gifts, which we receive from Your bountiful goodness, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven. Hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen
Holy Cross Security Policies:
At Holy Cross we treat the safety and well being of all our members, guests and visitors with the uppermost importance. To help protect the community, Holy Cross has the following policies in place:
- All of our staff, teachers and helpers have been screened by LexisNexis® to help establish confidence in our past behaviors; but we recognize that this is not sufficient to protect both our students and our helpers.
- We use a two teacher per classroom policy. There will be at least two adult teachers or helpers assigned to each Sunday School class.
- There should never be any child left alone with any adult who is not a family member.
- All of our classrooms have windowed doors and we have an open door policy. Family members are always welcome to join their children in class.
